The project will work with government, justice sector actors, members of congress, the Executive and civil society to ensure that Indigenous and Afro-descendant women, women with disabilities, LGBTQ people, and women human rights defenders, are able to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights and enjoy a life free from discrimination. The project also will increase the inclusive, gender-responsive and accountable application of international human rights norms and standards by relevant duty-bearers in Guatemala.

Through the Counter-Terrorism capacity building program’s support, the United Nations office on drugs and crime seeks to strengthen the technical and operational capacity of Jordanian law enforcement, intelligence services, and border security officials operating at the KHB.

This project aims to support the Women Peace and Humanitarian Fund’s Sudan appeal which aims to support local women’s organizations’ leadership in responding to the outbreak of violence. Project activities include: (1) channeling grants to local and grassroots women’s organizations working to sustain their critical operations on the front lines. This includes the provision of safety net protection grants for women human rights defenders; (2) providing safe spaces, training for frontline responders on responding to violence, psychosocial support for young girls, managing conflict-related sexual violence cases and supporting referral pathways; and (3) building women’s leadership skills on crisis response and enhancing their safety, security and mental health.

This project supports the operationalization and sustainability of the Canada-funded biological laboratory and biobank in Sierra Leone. Project activities include: (1) providing equipment; and (2) providing staffing support.

Project activities include: (1) integrating risk-informed water management into local disaster risk reduction and management and climate change adaptation plans through comprehensive and localized environmental and disaster vulnerability assessments; (2) developing a public-private partnership roadmap with the private sector, local governments, civil society groups, and communities to promote disaster-resilient water management; (3) installing water management technologies to enhance community resilience; (4) training women and men, including Indigenous Peoples, on water-related adaptation and management; (5) establishing peer networks for advocacy, information-sharing, and coordination with loca

It supports the adoption and implementation of an ecosystem-based DRR (Disaster Risk and Resilience) approach (Eco-DRR), namely measuring and mitigating the impacts of natural disasters on communities and ecosystems, and financing and planning ecosystem restoration and recovery activities when disasters occur.

Project activities include: (1) establishing government-to-citizen platforms technical hubs; (2) creating a peer support program for women and youths; (3) supporting data and evidence-based action-researches; (4) organizing solidarity tours; (5) establishing the Future Leaders' Empowerment program; (6) establishing micro-grant program for evidence-based advocacy campaigns; (7) establishing capacity building programs for women candidates and locally elected women office-bearers.

This technical assistance project is in support of a $120 million sovereign loan to the Republic of Moldova and aims to support climate resilience and gender equality in rural areas of Moldova. This is done through sustainable management of forest, pasture and agricultural resources, as well as economic and educational empowerment of women. Project activities include: (1) delivering gender-sensitive trainings on climate-smart agriculture, forest management, and integrated ecosystem-based agroforestry; (2) establishing nurseries for forest community -based enterprises; and (3) providing technical equipment and training to local public authorities.

This project is part of Canada’s Renewed Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Program. It supports local and regional women’s rights organizations (WROs), lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex plus (LBTQI+) groups and feminist networks working to promote the rights of women and girls and advance gender equality globally. It provides multi-year core funding and rapid responsive funding, strengthening institutional capacity and bolstering feminist alliances, as WROs and their networks are critical change agents. The Program continues to respond to the globally recognized and significant gap in funding and support for WROs and movements worldwide. It recognizes that those groups working at intersecting forms of discrimination and in crisis- and conflict-affected countries are funded even less.
