In accordance with the Access to Information Act, the government proactively publishes the package of question period notes that were prepared by a government institution for the minister and that were in use on the last sitting day in June and December.

On May 21st, 2022, a derecho storm caused widespread damage across the National Capital Region, as well as other areas of Ontario, Quebec, and Maine.
Public Services and Procurement Canada continues to work with the Public Health Agency of Canada to procure vaccines and other pharmaceuticals in support of government preparedness for public health threats, including ones that could be used for monkeypox if needed.

Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is implementing the Long Term Vision and Plan (LTVP) – a multi-decade strategy to restore and modernize the Parliamentary Precinct. The core of the Parliamentary Precinct includes the grounds and buildings on Parliament Hill and the three city blocks directly facing it.
PSPC is also supporting Crown-Indigenous Relations (CIRNA) to develop a national space for Indigenous Peoples within the Parliamentary Precinct. The project includes the re-development of the former CIBC building located at 119 Sparks Street and an infill space between the two buildings.

This note focuses on Phoenix salary overpayments. A salary overpayment is an amount of money paid to an employee to which they are not entitled. Overpayments exist for current and former employees.

A large proportion of the public service continues to work from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Government offices remain open to ensure the delivery of essential government functions and many clients’ preparations for eventual return to the workplace are ongoing, guided by regional public health agencies.
Note: Questions on employees returning to the workplace should be responded to by the President of the Treasury Board, as the employer.
On October 6, 2021, the Government of Canada announced plans to require vaccination across the federal public service. The announcement also noted that “contracted personnel who require access to federal government worksites will also need to be vaccinated”.
