In accordance with the Access to Information Act, the government proactively publishes the package of question period notes that were prepared by a government institution for the minister and that were in use on the last sitting day in June and December.

In June 2022, the Minister of Sport announced several new safe sport measures including the creation of the Sport Canada Athlete Advisory Committee.
Sport Canada has worked with athlete representatives from AthletesCAN, the Canadian Olympic Committee Athletes’ Commission and the Canadian Paralympic Committee Athletes’ Council to develop the terms of reference for the Sport Canada Athlete Advisory Committee.

The Community Sport for All Initiative was launched on February 1, 2022, to help community organizations kick-start local organized sports with a focus on equity-deserving groups.
