Environment and Climate Change Canada requires the services of a Contractor to perform approximately four hundred and ninety seven aerological observations each year at Resolute Bay Upper Air Station. For each observation, the Contractor will prepare the instruments and release the balloons, monitor the data and messages produced, and ensure the prompt transmittal of the data. The Contractor will conduct the management and operations of the observing program, and the scheduling of personnel for observing, recording, encoding and transmitting Aerological and Supplementary programs at the times specified below as required to comply with the instructions contained in the "Manual of Upper Air Observations" and various other manual required for the Safety and Health of Meteorological Services of Canada Operations.
