Description:
Establish a community investment trust fund. The proposed Trust will oversee and manage one-time and annual revenues accruing from Impact and Benefit Agreements (IBAs) signed with resource development companies as well as funds from an expected land claim settlement. The trust will preserve and grow capital for the long-term benefit of the LKFN and its citizens, generating a stable and sustainable income stream for the community’s benefit. The community may use the funds to invest in community infrastructure, training and/or scholarships for members and economic development activities.
