Description:
This project will help fund a Special Grants Call launched by the Commonwealth Foundation to support innovative national initiatives which help communities recover and rebuild from the COVID-19 pandemic. Capacity-building grants will be awarded to civil society-led organizations in support of their efforts to engage constructively with government in strengthening policies and practices in COVID recovery efforts. Recipients will be selected based on their explicit focus on advancing the rights and interests of marginalised communities and groups. Gender and its intersectionality will receive special attention in the project selection, as well as in capacity building of grantees.

Expected Results:
The project will contribute to improved integration of the needs of marginalised communities, including women and girls, in national COVID recovery and rebuilding efforts and, increased participation of civil society in monitoring and shaping national COVID recovery and rebuilding, policies and practices.
