Description:
P011533001: The project aims to increase the respect and enjoyment of human rights in Bolivia, particularly for women, indigenous and rural people, and human rights defenders. It supports the UN Resident Coordinator Office in monitoring and reporting on violations, and works to improve the UN country teams’ early warning analysis and prevention capacities. The project also provides technical and strategic advice to 1) government authorities to promote human rights and meet its obligations in line with international standards, and 2) human rights defenders and civil society to advocate for and influence the State’s and others’ protection of human rights. P011533002: The project aims to increase the respect and enjoyment of human rights in Peru, particularly for women, indigenous and rural people, human rights defenders, and Venezuelan migrants. It will support the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to monitor and report on violations, and to improve the UN country teams’ early warning analysis and prevention capacities. Expected Results:

P011533001: The expected outcomes for this project include
1) improved protection of human rights by public institutions in Bolivia, particularly for women, indigenous and rural populations, and rights defenders; and
2) enhanced participation of civil society, human rights defenders and communities to safely advocate for and influence State and others’ protection of human rights, with an emphasis on the rights of women and indigenous and rural populations.
