This project seeks to reduce the threat to global populations of a nuclear and radiological security event. This is done by promoting the ratification and implementation of the three key legal conventions that govern nuclear security. Project activities include: (1) the organization of ten parliamentary sessions to promote nuclear and radiological security in Cameroon, Gambia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, Suriname, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe; (2) providing outreach and ongoing communications with participants; and (3) distributing a background briefing paper on the impact of nuclear and radiological weapons and materials on women...
