Suggested Response:

• We recognize impact of COVID-19 on Northern and First Nations communities is particularly acute given fisheries and aquaculture are the main economic driver in many small, coastal communities.
• Indigenous harvesters and processors can access increased funding through Aboriginal Financial Institutions as part of our $306 million investment to support indigenous small businesses.
• In addition, CanNor will also make $15-million in non-repayable support available for businesses to help address the impacts of COVID-19.
• We know that more needs to be done to support first nations and all harvesters and we are exploring all options to provide more supports.
