Statistics from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2020, on the processing of applications made to an Enforcement Officer employed by the Canada Border Services Agency for a deferral of removal by rejected refugee claimants who at the time of the application were barred from applying for a Pre-Removal Risk Assessment (PRRA) pursuant to section 112(2)(b.1) and (c) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for both the 12-month or 36-month requirement. Broken down by the number of: deferral requests initiated by a rejected refugee claimant who was not entitled to a PRRA before removal because of the 12- or 36-month requirement; pending requests from the previous calendar year; withdrawn requests; decisions granting such requests; decisions refusing such requests; cases where such a request was not decided before removal was executed; and cases where the removal was halted by a stay motion issued by the Federal Court of Canada.
