Statistics from July 3 to 31, 2023, regarding the number of people who were living in Nova Scotia when ordered detained, number of immigration detainees held in Nova Scotia, and whether they are currently housed in Nova Scotia provincial correctional centres or other facilities. If any detainees were transferred out of Nova Scotia due to the ending of the contract between provincial corrections and the Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA), the location where the detainees were transferred. If alternatives to detention (ATDs) were allowed in light of the ending of the contract with the CBSA, metrics on the increased use of ATDs.
