Summary:

Records from January 1, 2004, to January 1, 2026, relating to armed Border Services Officers (BSOs), including all documents, memoranda, policies, procedures, reports, studies, briefing materials, correspondence, and statistics regarding the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) and eyesight standards for arming. Specifically: all documents and memos regarding or related to the MMPI policy; the full name of all MMPI's used, when they were updated and why, when they changed and why; a list of MMPI versions used; any information or statistics on gender fails MMPI; any statistics or know bias within the MMPI; the original policies for MMPI and all changes up to this date; the policy on what happens if an employee can not pass the MMPI; the policy on how many MMPI's can be written for recruits and current employees; the maximum number of MMPI's that can be written for recruits and employees; the policy for existing employees that fail MMPI's; if any employee has written more than 2 MMPI's for any reason, and if so, the administrative reasons, tool removal, illness, loss; all documents and memos related to the eyesight standard imposed for arming; records explaining the rationale for the adoption and maintenance of such standards; whether standards were increased or decreased; the reason for the standard in place; any exceptions and/or exemptions to the standard; the policy on failing to meet the standard as an employee; the policy on diminished eyesight for aging employees; and identifying the source or basis of the eyesight standards, including whether they were adopted or adapted from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Health Canada, another law enforcement organization, or any other entity.
