The Canada Greener Homes Loan offers interest-free financing to help Canadians make their homes more energy efficient and comfortable. There was originally $4.4b of funding allocated and an additional $600m funding announced the Fall Economic Statement ("FES") in Dec 2024.
Please provide records clarifying whether or not the $600m announced in the FES requires an associated bill to reach royal assent or records relating to the approval without further enabling legislation.
Please provide an update of the total $-value of approved loans as of today (or the most recent month-end data).
We have not had an update on the usage rate of this program in quite some time and understanding the remaining duration is critical for the stability of energy retrofit companies and the general public.
