Job Bank has the following on any ads that are attached to an LMIA application: "The employer could not find a Canadian worker for this job and applied for a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to hire a temporary foreign worker. Canadian workers, including Canadian citizens and permanent residents, are still encouraged to apply. If you applied but haven’t heard back from the employer, please contact Job Bank." Requesting to see the order or direction that created this, the opinion and research that backed up its implementation, and as well the full process that ESDC is using to action any who contact the Job Bank and state they applied for a job but haven't heard back. There is no timeline needed, as this is new. Seeking the genesis of this idea, from evidence to proposal to implementation and to see the full process being used now.
