ATI modernization advances reconciliation in a way that is respectful of Indigenous rights, culture and traditions.
Results:
In May 2024, the Chief Information Officer of Canada sent correspondence to a broad list of Indigenous Partners, (including National Indigenous Organizations, Modern Treaties and Self-Government Holders, Indigenous Industry leaders, and Indigenous ATI / Data Experts) to invite their participation in ongoing engagement processes to improve Indigenous ATI.
Ongoing dialogue and relationship-building with Indigenous Peoples support the continuous improvement of ATI services to ensure alignment and implementation of UNDA, and systems and processes that are respectful of Indigenous Peoples’ rights, culture and traditions.
