In March 2025, TBS ATIP professionals took part in training on Indigenous Relations, Consultation, and Engagement. These sessions emphasized strategies for building trust and fostering meaningful connections with Indigenous communities, grounded in the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act and other legislative frameworks. The training also underscored the importance of honouring cultural protocols and respecting traditions, equipping ATIP professionals with the tools to approach their work with cultural competency at the forefront.
