His Majesty the King in right of Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is initiating a process to prequalify contractors for the replacement of one (1) roof at the Embassy of Canada to Haiti, in Port-au-Prince. The work is anticipated to include (but not exclusive of) the complete removal of existing roof membranes and systems, repair to existing deck substrates, introduction of sloped deck/insulation for flat roofs, reconstruction and extension of doghouse enclosures (niches), service penetrations and equipment supports, installation of supplementary roof drains, as required, and scupper components as well as new roofing membrane systems, wear path surfaces and flashings. Existing roof mounted electrical, lightning protection systems (LPS) and mechanical/heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems may also need to be removed to facilitate the proposed work, assessed for replacement and reinstalled.
