A Project Management Consultant was hired to prepare the documents required by ESDC's Investment Management Process (IMP) for advancing the Data Management Transformation Project initiated by the Workplace Information and Research Divison of the Labour program.The project is one of the major deliverables under the Labour Programs Service Modernization initiative which is a response to the Program's Strategic Review 2009 and a direct outcome of Budget 2010. The expected outcome of the project is efficient collection/dissemination of more reliable data on industrial relations by using a platform compliant with ESDC standards. WIRD did not have any staff with the skills and competencies required to deliver the documents needed by IMP.
