IT Applications D&M Consultants The Health Product Shortages Directorate (HPSD) of the Regulatory Operations and Enforcement Branch (ROEB) at Health Canada (HC) requires services for the development, hosting, maintenance and support of the Health Product Shortages website, and enhancements to the website on an "as and when needed" basis. The Contractor is required to develop, host, maintain, support, and enhance as required the Health Product Shortages website that will replace the existing Drug Shortages Canada website, and to integrate the reporting of medical device shortages and discontinuations into the same website. All information included in the existing Drug Shortages Canada website must be maintained and integrated into the new website. The Health Product Shortages website must continue operating, without disruption, to ensure that drug market authorization holders can continue to meet their regulatory obligations to publicly report anticipated and actual shortages and discontinuations. The Health Product Shortages website must also be in place to support proposed regulatory amendments that would require medical device manufacturers and importers to publicly report anticipated and actual shortages and discontinuations. The website is a critical resource in Health Canada’s role in mitigating and preventing health product shortages. The information on the website helps protect the health and safety of people in Canada by ensuring that needed health product shortage and discontinuation information is available in an accurate and timely manner to make well-informed decisions about health and well-being.
