For a contract with task authorizations, the realized amount of the contract is contingent on the number of task authorizations issued and may be less than the amount proactively disclosed, dependent on the operational requirements of the department.
The Government of Canada (GoC) has adopted Microsoft Dynamics 365 as the standard case management solution. One adaptation of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 on premise solution at Department of Justice, branded as LEX, is fully operational in a production setting with over 4000 users. Additionally, Justice is implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 in numerous other project settings including, but not limited to, Grants and Contributions, and several smaller case management systems on Microsoft Power Platform such as Contract File Tracking Tool (CFTT), and Intensive Rehabilitative Custody and Supervision (IRCS).
The Contractor’s ERP Systems Analysts will propose recommendations for improvements, develop fixes for bugs, adapt the application(s) to new client requests, develop a mobile solution, redevelop code where necessary to improve performance, provide ongoing support, and assist in the upgrade to new versions of Dynamics 365 and or MS PowerApps including the cloud. This includes design, development, and support of integrations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other technologies such as SharePoint and SAP.
The Contractor must provide deliverables, which include recommendations to Justice on the strategic direction for the way forward for its case management solutions. All recommendations must take into consideration Justice’s business requirements and processes, the established technical architecture direction and GoC directions in terms of standard technology and applications consolidation. The deliverables will also assist Justice in decision making, planning of next steps and will provide key information for the development of continued business cases to seek approval to proceed and funding for these projects.
For any work awarded under this contract, detailed Task Authorizations will include specific work items and deliverables. These will be tracked in DevOps tasking software allowing detailed project tracking and transparency of work completed. In addition, each resource will be required to provide timesheets indicating hours worked on each day billed and what they worked on.
