Water system sampling and operation services: 1) Bacteriological sampling in accordance with approved methods of sample collection once every two weeks; 2) Courier costs for shipment of cooler to and from Caro Lab located in Kelowna, B.C.; 3) Weekly testing of free chlorine and turbidity at two locations per week. Every week the terminal area will be tested, every second week the northern and southern parts of the distribution system will be assessed when access points are available. This is a standard practice for water distribution system operation in British Columbia. Our goal is to achieve at least 0.2 mg/l free chlorine residual at the far ends of the system; 4) Interpretation of bacteriological results and response to Health Canada recommendations; 5) Supply adequate quantities of NSF approved Sodium Hypochlorite. This has been added to the budget this year as the costs for this product have risen significantly. Our monthly invoice reflects the use of the product over the entire year and averaged out to a monthly payment; 6) Water Infrastructure Oversight. This includes weekly water system inspection, compilation of weekly data and submission of a monthly report. This fee also provides a certified operator or supervision of the technician by a certified operator in compliance with BC Health Drinking Water System and Health Canada standards; 7) Any required responses to alerts alarms or concerns from administration will be invoiced out at our all found rate of $90.00 per hour which includes all our costs for testing equipment, insurance Worksafe BC etc.
