PCO and TBS will explore opportunities for federal regulators to set expectations for data stewardship and sharing among service delivery partners
The CDO Council has clarified its role and responsibility as an endorsement body in the GC Enterprise Data Governance through new Terms of Reference. The Council has taken the first steps in establishing a stewardship model by creating a working group to support endorsement and approval of data standards. As a result, the first data reference standard on Canadian provinces and territories has been endorsed by the CDO Council and the ADM Committee on Data and Information, and was subsequently approved by the CIO of Canada, to be implemented by all federal departments and agencies.
•The CDO Council is continuing work in refining tools for GC standards development.
•Several potential data/ metadata reference standards and stewards have been identified as candidates for GC enterprise adoption.
