CSPS will coordinate a common location for departments to share information about the toolkits they have developed

Status:
Completed
Area for Action:
Ensure public servants are equipped with the appropriate tools to support their work
Progress Made Since Last Update:

April 2024 update: CSPS launched a Toolkits Catalogue (completing Mission 4.3c) on Gcxchange in December 2023 to equip public servants with resources for acquiring, managing, and using data-related hardware, storage, and software. Toolkit submissions are managed by GCDC through an ongoing intake process via a dedicated form, ensuring completeness and clarity prior to publication. GCDC uses its outreach channels to request these resources from CDOs and data community members. Simultaneously, ongoing promotional efforts target increased visibility of this resource.
As of April 2024, the Toolkits Catalogue page received 85 submissions from 19 departments. Based on established curation criteria, 66 resources were published following the review process.
The Toolkits catalogue is integrated into the Data Resources Hub, housing thematic sub-pages on relevant data-related topics. Collaboration with other departments enhances this collection, aiming to attract a larger audience and support government initiatives.

Action: Coordination of a GC-wide, common online location for departments and agencies to share information about data-related toolkits.
