Catch, effort, location (latitude, longitude), relative abundance indices, and associated biological data from groundfish multi-species bottom trawl surveys in Queen Charlotte Sound (QCS), Hecate Strait (HS), West Coast Vancouver Island (WCVI), West Coast Haida Gwaii (WCHG) and the Strait of Georgia (SOG), British Columbia. Introduction

This is a set of long-term and coordinated surveys that together cover the continental shelf and upper slope of most of the British Columbia coast. The objectives of these surveys are to provide fishery-independent abundance indices of all demersal fish species available to bottom trawling and to collect biological samples of selected species. The surveys follow a random depth-stratified design and the sampling units are 2 km by 2 km blocks.

The Roads database includes the inventory of road assets (roadways, islands, intersections, sidewalks, curbs) with a spatial representation and various attached information. Aggregate roadway assets represent roadways that are located in the public domain and that are part of the local or arterial road network. Aggregated pavements are represented by polygons that are aggregated by use type. Among the information associated with a pavement type object is the date of construction, the date of resurfacing, the date of survey, the materials of the pavement, the type of foundation, the presence of a bicycle lane, the use, etc. Intersection road assets represent the crossings of the carriageable lanes located in the domain public and which are part of the local or arterial road network. Intersections are represented by polygons that are cut according to the number of traffic axes. Among the information associated with an intersection object is the date of construction, the date of resurfacing, the date of survey, the materials of the intersection, the type of foundation, the presence of a bicycle lane, etc. The data is also available in separate sets on the portal to support multiple uses: - [ roads (full database)] (/city-of-montreal/roadway-active-road) - [Sidewalk and block] (/city-of-montreal/roadway-sidetoir-ilot) - [Off-street zone] (/city-of-montreal/roadway-zone) __Warnings__ - Data disseminated on road assets are those in the possession of the City's geomatics team and do not are not necessarily at The data disseminated on road assets are provided for information purposes only and should not be used for design or construction purposes or for locating assets.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**

Concentrations of sea pens, small and large gorgonian corals and sponges on the east coast of Canada have been identified through spatial analysis of research vessel survey by-catch data following an approach used by the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) in the Regulatory Area (NRA) on Flemish Cap and southeast Grand Banks. Kernel density analysis was used to identify high concentrations. These analyses were performed for each of the five biogeographic zones of eastern Canada. The largest sea pen fields were found in the Laurentian Channel as it cuts through the Gulf of St. Lawrence, while large gorgonian coral forests were found in the Eastern Arctic and on the northern Labrador continental slope.
