The Accountable Advances Regulations (AAR) permit departments to establish petty cash funds to assist in meeting specific operational needs. Each petty cash fund can be set up to a maximum of $2,000; individual transactions shall not exceed $200. Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) currently has 78 petty cash funds in place. The Treasury Board Secretariat (TBS) Directive on Accountable Advances states that the petty cash funds should only be used when it is more cost-effective than using acquisition cards or staff travel cards.

Trace gas data sets measured by Canadian and U.S. ground-based monitoring networks from 1982 to the present including non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), ozone (O3) and total gaseous mercury (TGM). Included are Canadian federal and provincial networks (past and present) and U.S. historical networks (for data not available elsewhere). These data sets are associated with various networks that monitor a variety of trace and reactive gases. Non-Methane Hydrocarbons were measured and monitored in a study at Egbert, Ontario at the Centre for Atmospheric Research and Experiments, CARE.

This series of cartographic quality printed 1:50 000 scale monochrome maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta comprised of 764 maps that are individually named using the National Topographic System (NTS) map sheet identifier. These maps display the Alberta Township System (ATS), hydrographic features, municipalities, roads, cutlines, facilities, pipelines, powerlines, railways, select geo-administrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). All maps contained within a 1:250 000 block (generally up to 16 map sheets) will be included in the NTS Block download.This series is not updated on a regular basis and may contain a range of publication dates.
