The classes of pesticides make it possible to establish regulatory requirements in terms of the risk to health and the environment posed by these products. In Quebec, pesticides are grouped into 5 classes. Class 5 includes pesticides that pose the least risk to health and the environment. This includes pesticides for domestic use that exclusively contain one or more biopesticides, regardless of the format or type of formulation (concentrated or ready for use) as well as most pesticides for domestic use ready for use and marketed in volume or weight equal to or less than 1 liter or 1 kilogram. The holder of a permit to sell pesticides must place the products in classes 1 to 3 and 4 that they offer for sale in such a way that customers cannot serve themselves (Pesticide Management Code, section 27). Each business can arrange its pesticide display in the most appropriate way, given its situation and as long as it complies with the Code. Class 5 pesticides are therefore freely accessible to the customer. This list, made available for the purposes of this requirement, indicates the registration number of the product under the Pest Control Products Act, its trade name, the active ingredient (s) it contains, and the class to which it belongs under the Permits and Certificates for Sale and use of pesticides.

"As an organization owner, have you ever paused to think about the kind of information you share with your supply chain? Do you know how suppliers are handling your and your client’s information or where this information is saved? It’s in your best interest to ask these and other questions to keep your organization secure. Like large organizations, small and medium-sized organizations are vulnerable to cyber attacks because they have a lot of sensitive information that attracts threat actors.
