The river bed sediments in the Lower Athabasca are known to shift and migrate downstream. Numerical modelling of water quantity and quality (including sediments) requires accurate river channel cross-sectional geometry within the area of study. Such cross-sectional geometry prior to 2012 was limited for the Lower Athabasca River restricting modelling accuracy and efficiency. As such, in order to better understand the bed sediment dynamics of the lower Athabasca River and to support model development (e.g., calibration/validation of sediment/bitumen erosion/transport/deposition), high resolution swath bathymetry data were collected form bank to bank during open water seasons (2012-2014) covering approximately 115 km from Fort McMurray to the mouth of the Firebag River.

This report presents the findings of the evaluation of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA)' Sun-Earth Science Business Line (SESS-BL). The SESS-BL's fundamental purpose is to support Canada's contribution to the advancement of the scientific knowledge concerning the Sun-Earth system, and the application of this scientific knowledge in a range of policy areas such as weather forecasting, environmental monitoring, climate change, natural disaster management and mitigation, and the protection of private and public infrastructures in space and on Earth. The evaluation covers a five-year period, from April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2017, and examines the SESS-BL's relevance and performance. The evaluation was conducted by PRA Inc., on behalf of the CSA's Audit and Evaluation Directorate, between September 2017 and September 2018.

A digital grid of the subcrop edge of the Joli Fou Formation, originally modeled from borehole data and adjusted to present-day and paleo river erosion. Values in the grid correspond to areas where the unit is present (denoted by the number '50'), or where it is absent (denoted by the null value '-9999'). The grid is generated at a 250 m cell-size resolution, based on information as recent as 2003.

As of May 15, 2001, 5.4 million people, or 18.4% of the total population, were born outside the country. This was the highest proportion since 1931, when foreign-born people made up 22.2% of the population. In 1996, the proportion was 17.4%. The map shows the percentage of the total population that was foreign-born by census subdivision and immigrated between 1991 and 2001.
