In 2014, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) initiated a Play-Based Regulation (PBR) pilot project as a step towards implementation of the Unconventional Regulatory Framework. One of the goals of the PBR pilot is to encourage companies in the unconventional play area to work together on plans for surface development to minimize the numbers of facilities and surface impacts. In an effort to ensure transparency and accountability, the Government of New Brunswick is providing quarterly expense information pertaining to senior executive travel and other expenses in an open data format. The Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI) issues nomination certificates to prospective immigrants who meet a labour market need and who will make a contribution to Nova Scotia’s economy. Nominees then apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for a permanent resident visa. Applicants are attracted to the Nova Scotia Nominee Program from around the world. This dataset provides the number of nomination certificates issued annually by citizenship of the applicant.

This data provides the integrated cadastral framework for the specified Canada Land. The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.

An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 10 of the Atlas, Devonian Elk Point Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 4, Distribution of Lower Devonian Strata. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
