The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators (CESI) program provides data and information to track Canada's performance on key environmental sustainability issues. These indicators present the concentrations of 4 substances (mercury, lead, cadmium and bisphenol A) in Canadians for the periods 2007 to 2009, 2009 to 2011, 2012 to 2013, and 2014 to 2015. Chemical substances are everywhere, including in the air, soil, water, products and food, and can enter the body through ingestion, inhalation and skin contact. Through biomonitoring, the government can identify priorities, develop or revise risk management strategies, and track progress on policies put in place to reduce or control these substances.

All available bathymetry and related information for Chin Lakes were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
This table is part of a series of tables that present a portrait of Canada based on the various census topics. The tables range in complexity and levels of geography. Content varies from a simple overview of the country to complex cross-tabulations; the tables may also cover several censuses.
Amphibians around the world are in decline and this has led to many international initiatives to monitor and catalog amphibian biodiversity.
The western toad (Bufo boreas) found in Jasper National Park is a species of special concern protected under the Federal Species at Risk Act (SARA). Jasper National Park conducts auditory and visual amphibian surveys to estimate species occurrence. Occupancy modelling of amphibians in the Park, using presence/absence data, provides a useful and flexible framework for population trend analyses and helps inform management.
