In recent years, government debt has become increasingly important in public finance discussions. Citizens are concerned about the level of debt and its evolution. In 2020-21, the debt increased significantly, due to the decline in revenues, which resulted from the contraction of the economy, and the actions taken by the government to manage the health crisis and support the economy. __SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION__ • Net liabilities for pensions and other employee future benefits are reduced by pension assets and other employee future benefits. • Gross debt amounts exclude deferred foreign exchange gains or losses as well as early borrowing. In order to facilitate the comparison of historical data, and because of the size of the amounts involved, two figures are presented for 2008—09 in the gross debt of the Government of Quebec. The first results from consolidation using the modified equity method of accounting for network organizations, and the second from consolidation using the line-by-line consolidation method. • From 1997-98 to 2005-06, data related to the calculation of gross debt have been adjusted to take into account the effects of the 2006—07 accounting reform. This data is not adjusted to account for the impacts of the 1997-98 and 2006-07 accounting reforms.

__The link: *Accessing the data repository* is available in the*Dataset description sheets; Additional information*__ section. The Forest Inventories Directorate of the Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks (MFFP) began, in 2020, the production of data that indicate the strength of forest vegetation. This data is produced from satellite images. The layer produced from this data is intended to present a regional portrait, at a given date, of the strength of forest vegetation at the pixel scale. Before using these data, it is therefore recommended to plan validation work by photo-interpretation or by means of field visits. It should also be noted that these data are complementary to existing data (ecoforestry map, fires, harvesting and reforestation, defoliations resulting from aerial overflights, etc.).**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).**
