The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 12 of the Atlas, Devonian Woodbend-Winterburn Strata of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 3, Woodbend Isopach. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.

An effective and efficient phone system is crucial to providing Veterans, their families, and service providers with access to information from Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) staff. The National Contact Centre Network (NCCN) provides a central point of contact for external callers to obtain general information and request benefits and services. NCCN Analysts either answer questions or immediately transfer callers to staff who can better respond to a caller’s inquiry. The objective of the audit was to assess the management control framework, compliance with applicable policies and processes, and performance against the service standard.

Water quality and ecosystem health data used to conduct a cumulative effects assessment of Lake Ontario, Niagara River and St. Lawrence River nearshore waters in support of the Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement are included in this dataset. Data related to nearshore stressors is integrated into an overall assessment in a three-phased approach: 1) classification of the nearshore into Regional Units using physical processes and lake characteristics; 2) overall assessment of the state (cumulative stress) of each Regional Unit; and 3) integrate additional information related to nearshore areas of high ecological value. Assessment data is presented within a 30 metre depth zone along the coast. For purposes of determining stress on nearshore waters it is necessary to consider the zones of influence and zones of impact.

Alberta Geological Survey created a coal and coalbed methane (CBM) database to capture and manage CBM data. The database compiles different sources and contains information on 7923 wells (15,200 formation picks, 37,357 coal picks, 495 coal analyses and 363 vitrinite reflectance measurements). From this parent dataset, individual coal zones were evaluated. This record describes the Carbon Thompson Coal Zone net coal thickness.
