This entry provides access to the figures and data tables that feature in the CSAS Research Document titled 'Optical, chemical, and biological oceanographic conditions on the Scotian Shelf and in the eastern Gulf of Maine in 2015'. Please consult the meta-data text file that accompanies the zip file download for the figure on the data usage policy and appropriate citation. The meta-data file also provides field descriptors and any other information that may be useful in interpreting the data provided in relation to the accompanying imagery. Abstract:

As part of the climate change research, data from the SPOT/VEGETATION instrument are systematically corrected for period 1998-2004 and provided in this archive. The VGT archive contains observations acquired by the VEGETATION sensors 1 and 2 onboard SPOT 4 and 5 satellites. Initial data type 10-day S10 composites provided by the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and pre-processed at the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) in Belgium in full resolution (1km) were re-projected into standard Lambert conformal conic map projection and further corrected for bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) effect and cloud contamination. Growing seasons 1998-2004 are presented with twenty 10-day composites from April 11, to October 31.

The mandate of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) is "to promote the peaceful use and development of space, to advance the knowledge of space through science and to ensure that space science and technology provide social and economic benefits for Canadians."Footnote 1 Established in March 1989, with a status equivalent to that of a Department of the Government of Canada, the CSA is responsible for the coordination and implementation of space policies and programs, the application and diffusion of space technology, and the promotion of commercial exploitation of space.

The CSA Audit and Evaluation Directorate commissioned the services of Science-Metrix to undertake an Evaluation of CSA's Space Astronomy Missions (SAM) and Planetary Missions (PM) programs as per the Five-Year Departmental Evaluation Plan and in accordance with the 2016 Treasury Board of Canada's Policy on Results.Footnote 2 The evaluation was conducted during the 2017–2018 fiscal year, under the direction of the CSA's Audit and Evaluation Directorate (specifically, the CSA's Evaluation function) and covers the period from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2016.

This table represents a cross between the treatment region and the region of residence with respect to hospital days. The MED-ÉCHO bank contains data relating to hospital stays in Quebec hospitals providing general and specialized care. These data, compiled by hospitals, relate to acute care (physical and psychiatric) and day surgeries. These data are produced by the Quebec Health Insurance Board using the MED-ECHO database. They cover the whole of Quebec.

Trace gas data sets measured by Canadian and U.S. ground-based monitoring networks from 1982 to the present including non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHC), ozone (O3) and total gaseous mercury (TGM). Included are Canadian federal and provincial networks (past and present) and U.S. historical networks (for data not available elsewhere). These data sets are associated with various networks that monitor a variety of trace and reactive gases. Non-Methane Hydrocarbons were measured and monitored in a study at Egbert, Ontario at the Centre for Atmospheric Research and Experiments, CARE.
