As of fiscal year 2019 to 2020 and under the new Treasury Board Secretariat Policy on Results (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=31300), all departments have implemented the new Departmental Results Framework. This framework, which replaces the Program Alignment Architecture (PAA), consists of departmental core responsibilities and their related program inventory. These codes are used to reflect the resources allocated to the achievement of government objectives. The format of these codes is composed of a 5 digit field: 3 alpha (capital letter) and 2 numeric digit codes.

For __semantic segment__, each source circulation image is accompanied by an image containing the semantic segmentation. The segmentation consists of 13 classes: poles, traffic signs, vehicles, vegetation, open areas, buildings, private spaces, sidewalks, lanes, pedestrians, structures, construction, none. For __object detection__, a _.xml_ file containing the location of the objects (i.e. bounding box) is provided with each traffic image. The annotation has 5 classes: vehicles, pedestrians, construction objects, cyclists, and buses.

The flood extent products are derived from satellite imagery with a system developed and operated by the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). This emergency mapping service is activated for large flood events in Canada. Products are generated and distributed in near real time as processed imagery becomes available. NRCan works closely with Public Safety Canada's National Headquarters in Ottawa, Regional offices, and Government Operations Centre (GOC) to define of user needs, technical feasibility and for the coordination of satellite acquisition planning.

The sport fishing community has an important role in the recovery of coded-wire tags found in Coho and Chinook. A coded-wire tag is a 1mm piece of wire that is laser etched with a unique number. Tags are injected into the nose cartilage of juvenile salmon prior to ocean migration.
