The Environmental Studies Research Fund (ESRF) is a research program, which sponsors environmental and social studies. It is designed to assist in the decision-making process related to oil and gas exploration and development on Canada's frontier lands. The ESRF is directed by a joint government/industry/public Management Board and is administered by a secretariat which resides in the Office of Energy Research and Development, Natural Resources Canada.
Hand Hygiene rates represents the hand washing rates for healthcare workers within the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the IWK. The rates are collected and reported to quarterly by hygiene auditors who are trained hospital staff. The rates for healthcare workers who clean their hands before initial contact with a patient and/or patient environment and the rates for after contact with the patient and/or patient environment are reported publicly and included in this dataset. Proper hand hygiene is one of the most important means to preventing the spread of germs which can cause infections.

Regional variations are also taken into account. The ecumene is generalized for small-scale mapping.
All available bathymetry and related information for Ghost Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
