The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has created business, agri-food, and farm data profiles for: * each region in the province (Central, Eastern, Western, Southern, and Northern Ontario) * each county within regions * each township within counties * specific geographies in Ontario (the Golden Horseshoe, Greater Toronto Area, Greater Golden Horseshoe Area, and Greenbelt) The profiles contain statistical data such as: * population and employment profiles * number of businesses and agri-food businesses by employment range * estimated local food consumption and production * complete Census of Agriculture information including number of farms, area of farms, major commodities grown, and livestock numbers in Ontario
As part of the climate change research, data from the SPOT/VEGETATION instrument are systematically corrected for period 1998-2004 and provided in this archive. The VGT archive contains observations acquired by the VEGETATION sensors 1 and 2 onboard SPOT 4 and 5 satellites. Initial data type 10-day S10 composites provided by the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and pre-processed at the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) in Belgium in full resolution (1km) were re-projected into standard Lambert conformal conic map projection and further corrected for bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) effect and cloud contamination. Growing seasons 1998-2004 are presented with twenty 10-day composites from April 11, to October 31.
All available bathymetry and related information for Rock Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
This data provides the integrated cadastral framework for the specified Canada Land. The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.

An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.
The flood extent products are derived from satellite imagery with a system developed and operated by the Earth Sciences Sector (ESS) of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan). This emergency mapping service is activated for large flood events in Canada. Products are generated and distributed in near real time as processed imagery becomes available. NRCan works closely with Public Safety Canada's National Headquarters in Ottawa, Regional offices, and Government Operations Centre (GOC) to define of user needs, technical feasibility and for the coordination of satellite acquisition planning.
