Weekly precipitation quantity has been measured at both at the primary meteorological site as well as at five other sites within the watershed. Daily precipitation quantity has been measured at the primary meteorological site until 2017. Weekly chemistry analysis of H+, major ions, nutrients and some metals was measured at the primary site (1981-2019) as well as a throughfall site (precipitation passing through a forest canopy) located at the headwater lake, Batchawana Lake (1993-2019). This category covers items of surplus, not including Real Property, that do not have a current or foreseeable use within government. However, as a result of a written request to the Minister from a non-profit organization and subsequent approval consistent with the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act and its Regulations, and an internal departmental recommendation, the surplus item is matched to an approved request. The dollar value of these items, based on their condition, is negligible; however the value to a non-profit agency is deemed adequate compensation in lieu of disposal of items through auction or public tender.
A targeted survey analyzed 2947 samples of fresh whole stone fruits for the presence of Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7, Salmonella species (spp. ), Listeria monocytogenes (L. monocytogenes) and generic E. coli. Additionally, of the 2947 samples, 1001 were tested for Shigella. No Salmonella spp., E. coli O157:H7 and Shigella were found in any of the samples tested.
