This cartographic quality series of 1:1 000 000 scale colour maps cover the provincial extent of Alberta. The primary provincial base map displays the Alberta Township System (ATS), major hydrographic features, municipalities, major roads, railways and select geoadministrative features (parks, reserves, etc.). In addition to the primary provincial base map, this series includes various themes that overlay the primary base map. The update of this map series is based on the provincial Base Features Access Update Program that has an approximate 5 year update cycle.

Tile layer of Indian reserve lands (managed forest code 32) identified using Aboriginal Lands of Canada Legislative boundaries. The Indian reserve tile layer is used in the Indian Reserve Map 2020 (Managed Forest Code 32) that forms part of the Story Map of Forest Management in Canada, 2020 (Aménagement des forêts au Canada, 2020).

The Geological Survey of Canada owns and operates slim hole geophysical sondes and recording equipment for use in PVC cased boreholes in unconsolidated overburden. Such holes are commonly drilled and cased for overburden stratigraphic or geotechnical studies related to on-going GSC projects. These boreholes have been located in various parts of Canada and in a variety of differing material types, including glacial, fluvial and lacustrine deposits. Most (but not all) sediments are of Quaternary age.

The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.

An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.

This report supports the Government of Canada's commitment included in the Federal Sustainable Development Act (FSDA) to make sustainable development decision-making more transparent and accountable to Parliament. It also contributes to an integrated, whole‑of‑government view of activities supporting environmental sustainability.

Birds adapted to alpine ecosystems are often sensitive to habitat and climate changes because of their niche specialization. For example, birds that are specialized to breeding in colder alpine conditions may be outcompeted by more generalist species if warmer conditions arise. Yearly data are collected at these sites using audio recorders to determine indices of bird diversity and occupancy trends to inform management.

The file contains one record for every offender serving a sentence of two years or more under Correctional Services of Canada (CSC) jurisdiction. The data were extracted from the Offender Management System (OMS) and reflects the status and attributes of offenders as of the year end.

Get data on the intensity of energy and water usage and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as well as property use types for buildings larger than 100,000 square feet. Where possible, data is weather-normalized. Data is not cleansed. This data set shows energy and water usage intensities and GHG emission intensities for buildings, including: * commercial (for example, retail or office) * multi-residential * warehousing * light industrial Manufacturing, heavy industrial or agricultural buildings are not included.
