Summary

The Quebec region of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is responsible for the assessment of several fish and invertebrate stocks exploited in the Estuary and the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence. The commercial catches sampling program is one of the sources of information used to complete these assessments. The data collected by this program, at wharf or at sea, offers among other things the advantage of a relatively large spatio-temporal coverage and provides some of the necessary knowledge to assess the demography and the structure of the exploited populations. This program is implemented by specialized DFO staff whose main mandate is to collect biological data on groundfish, pelagic fish and marine invertebrate species that are commercially exploited in the various marine communities.

The Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada, in its role as Receiver General for Canada, is responsible for the management and safeguarding of all federal government money. The Receiver General uses a centralized banking system (Government Banking System or GBS) to record the inflow of funds. Data is stored in the GBS detailing the dates and amounts for deposits made to financial institutions. This dataset, entitled “Deposits to Financial Institutions”, provides details extracted from the Government Banking System of all deposits made to Financial Institutions and their subsequent receipt at the Bank of Canada.

This table contains 55 series, with data for years 2000 - 2009 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and was last released on 2014-06-19. The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric.
