Summary
The Quebec region of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) is responsible for the assessment of several fish and invertebrate stocks exploited in the Estuary and the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence. The commercial catches sampling program is one of the sources of information used to complete these assessments. The data collected by this program, at wharf or at sea, offers among other things the advantage of a relatively large spatio-temporal coverage and provides some of the necessary knowledge to assess the demography and the structure of the exploited populations. This program is implemented by specialized DFO staff whose main mandate is to collect biological data on groundfish, pelagic fish and marine invertebrate species that are commercially exploited in the various marine communities.
The Canadian Environmental Sustainability Indicators (CESI) program provides data and information to track Canada's performance on key environmental sustainability issues. The Air health trends indicators were developed as a tool to monitor trends in public health impacts in Canada attributable to short-term exposure to 2 important outdoor air pollutants: ground-level ozone and fine particulate matter. Exposure to air pollution can lead to chronic lung disease, heart attacks, strokes and mortality. These adverse health effects contribute to economic costs through lost productivity and additional visits to doctors’ offices and hospitals.

Two of the vaccines approved for use in Canada are viral vector-based vaccines: AstraZeneca and Janssen. These types of vaccines use a harmless virus (in this case, the adenovirus) as a delivery system. This vector virus is not the virus that causes COVID-19. You can't get COVID-19 from the vaccine itself.

Based on how the Treasury Board defines service, the CRA has established an inventory of services to Canadians. E-enablement refers to the rate at which those services in the inventory are available online for Canadians to self-serve. This indicator measures progress against the CRA’s digital strategy. This service initiative falls under the ministerial mandate priority and under the broader Government of Canada priority of an open and transparent government.
