The projected change in the market share of midsize cars in total light-duty vehicle sales, from the model year 1990 to 2010 based on the business-as-usual scenario is shown on this map. This scenario assumes that there are no major policy changes during the 1990 to 2010 period, which would affect vehicle preferences. Light-duty vehicles include all cars and light trucks. It is projected that there would be no significant increase in the market share of midsize cars over the 1990 to 2010 period for Canada as a whole (16.5% in 1990 and 17.0% in 2010).

The RADARSAT Constellation is the evolution of the RADARSAT Program with the objective of ensuring data continuity, improved operational use of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and improved system reliability. The three-satellite configuration provides daily revisits of Canada's vast territory and maritime approaches, as well as daily access to 90% of the world's surface. RCM is tasked solely by the Government of Canada, to acquire data, first and foremost in support of Government of Canada services and needs. RCM data and services contributes to ensuring the safety and security of Canadians; monitoring and protecting the environment; monitoring of climate change; managing Canada’s natural resources; and stimulating innovation, research and economic development.
Sightings data were collected by the Mingan Island Cetacean Study (MICS) from 1980 to 2008 with annual surveys realised in the Gulf of St. Lawrence between the end of may and early november. Surveys were conducted using inflatable boats enabling the close approaches necessary to photograph and biopsy blue whales. The aim of this project was to provide additional information for designating blue whale critical habitat as required under the Canadian Species at Risk Act. This map depicts the 28 base-metal mines that operated for any period during 2004. Base-metal mines produce primarily copper, nickel, zinc, lead, cobalt, molybdenum and magnesium. There were no active base-metal mines in the Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia or Newfoundland and Labrador for this year. The locations of 22 selected base-metal production facilities are shown to provide an industrial context for base-metal mining activity.
This airborne or shipborne geophysical survey recorded the following parameters: Radiometric, Very Low Frequency. The flight line spacing is 200 m for a total of 6250 kilometres. The survey was flown between 1995-07-07 and 1995-11-29. The data were Digitally acquired.
An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.
