MNR regions are divided into districts - smaller organizational units - to help manage ministry programs and resources. Extents of the districts were originally compiled by description of: metes and bounds, topographic features, geographic township boundaries, territorial district boundaries, etc. Changes to the extent of the districts have been made over time by MNR district offices. Road authorities in Ontario have the mandated responsibility to construct roads or have them constructed on their behalf. This new data class brings over data from the Waste Management Information System (WMIS), which is an MS Access based database used by MNR to track Waste Management Sites. Most of these events involved community evacuations, significant structural loss and/or involvement of a Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) Emergency Response Officer. Events include those assigned to MNR by an Order-In-Council under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act as well as events where MNR provided requested emergency response assistance. Fish Culture Operation MNR identifies the locations of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) fish culture stations (or hatcheries) and sub- stations. The data set outlines their property boundaries. This product requires the use of GIS software.

The spatial record for all the province's geographic areas affected by provincial level, area-specific land use policy.
