This file shows the counting of vehicles and pedestrians at the majority of traffic light intersections, as well as some intersections where the installation of lights was being studied. For each of these intersections, all located in the 19 boroughs, the number of vehicles and pedestrians was increased at different periods of a typical day. Counts may sometimes ignore certain users (e.g. pedestrians, cyclists, trucks). NOTE: Since 2009, surveys also include cycling. Counts were carried out as part of the fire standards.
