Both of these publications consist of describing the core responsibilities of the Department, and the results and key indicators for results. The program inventory identifies the programs that contribute to the department's Core Responsibilities and Beliefs/ The Departmental Results Framework and Program Inventory is currently published, with its first issue being in 2018.

As of fiscal year 2019 to 2020 and under the new Treasury Board Secretariat Policy on Results (https://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/pol/doc-eng.aspx?id=31300), all departments have implemented the new Departmental Results Framework. This framework, which replaces the Program Alignment Architecture (PAA), consists of departmental core responsibilities and their related program inventory. These codes are used to reflect the resources allocated to the achievement of government objectives. The format of these codes is composed of a 5 digit field: 3 alpha (capital letter) and 2 numeric digit codes.

The Environment and Parks Fisheries Contact Boundaries dataset is comprised of all the polygons that represent the Environment and Parks Fisheries Contact Boundaries within the Province of Alberta. The dataset is to help Government of Alberta Staff and external consultants to determine which Biologist is responsible for and has authority over Research Licenses (RL-PAAS and traditional RLs), FWMIS Data Request, and other Fisheries Management approvals within that region.
