Contained within the 5th Edition (1978 to 1995) of the National Atlas of Canada is a map that shows two aspects of manufacturing productivity for 230 centres in Canada: the 1986 level and the change in manufacturing productivity 1981 to 1986. Also shown are manufacturing centres for which no data is released. Inset map shows manufacturing centres in the Windsor to Quebec corridor and the Vancouver - Victoria area.

Contained within the 5th Edition (1978 to 1995) of the National Atlas of Canada is a map that displays employment growth from 1971 to 1986 (using Census data) is classified into three occupational classes (managerial and professional; clerical, sales and service; primary industry and trades) and is shown for over 200 regions of Canada. An inset map shows the same information for the area from Windsor to Quebec.

Contained within the 5th Edition (1978 to 1995) of the National Atlas of Canada are maps of Canada (with corresponding Windsor-Quebec insets) showing centres of employment for four manufacturing sectors (refined petroleum and coal products, clothing, electrical and electronics products, and transportation equipment). Data for each centre give 1986 employment in specific sector with breakdown into subsectors. Graphs summarize employment for each sector and give total manufacturing employment for Canada. All data is from the annual Census of Manufacturing at Statistics Canada.
