This table contains 4 series, with data for years 2004 - 2013 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and is no longer being released. This table contains data described by the following dimensions (Not all combinations are available): Geography (1 item: Canada); Pig iron and scrap products charged to furnace (4 items: Total, pig iron and scrap products; Pig iron including pre-reduced iron; Scrap, own make; Scrap, purchased).
Contained within the 4th Edition (1974) of the Atlas of Canada is a set of two maps. The first map shows the location and size of iron ore deposits by geological region as of 1972. The location and type of iron mines as of 1970 are also denoted. This map is accompanied by several graphs showing iron ore resources by region as of 1972 as well as the production of beneficiated ore and direct-shipping ore for mining areas, the volume of pig iron and crude steel by place of production, the value of shipments from iron and steel mills and the value of iron ore production for 1970.

Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows the group of mining and metallurgical industries which supplied basic iron and steel products for further manufacture or assembly, circa 1955. Iron ore produced in Canada has been classified into three categories: Direct Shipping Ore, which can be charged directly into the blast furnaces; Beneficiated Ore, which has been concentrated by various methods and is usually pelletized; and Byproduct Ore, which is derived from mining operations not primarily engaged in the extraction of iron ore. The areas where these types of iron are produced are indicated on this map along with areas where iron ore production is under development and areas where other known principal occurrences of iron ore are found. The roles of the component plants of the industry may be assessed by some of their products.
This table contains 4224 series, with data for years 2015 - 2015 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years).
