This table provides full-time equivalents by Program for all federal departments required to submit a Departmental Result Report (previously known Departmental Performance Report).
All figures presented here reflect information previously published in Departmental Results Reports (under the name of Departmental Performance Reports), however totals here may not match with those previously published documents due to rounding. In cases where machinery of government changes (such as merging or eliminating organizations) have occurred, the data has not been adjusted.
Note: The data entries with “.” are intentional to distinguish no recorded value for a cell as opposed to an actual recorded value of zero.
Using data from the Central Financial Management Reporting System (CFMRS), these datasets presents detailed expenditures by program. More specifically, program expenditures by authority type (voted and statutory) and by Standard Objects. Where detailed data on Program expenditures are available, totals at the Program and organization level will correspond to information published in the Public Accounts of Canada. Note: Data for the Canadian Security Intelligence Service and the Communications Security Establishment.
The Horizontal Initiative database provides planned and actual financial and non-financial information by horizontal initiatives. Details for each initiative include the lead departments, timing of the initiative, the total funding allocation, a description, the shared outcomes, governance structure, partners and a contact name. Plans, spending and results are also available for each identified reporting period. Datasets are available for the following fiscal years: 2011-12, 2012-13, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18.
An annual review of the exports of Canadian grain and wheat flour. Includes additional data relating to major specialty grains, grade/class identifications and a review of major costs associated with moving grain to export positions.
The Overview of Government Spending and Performance (OGSP) provides a whole-of-government overview of actual spending by all federal organizations receiving budgetary appropriations. The overview is organized according to a whole-of-government framework which links program activities implemented by departments, agencies and other federal government organizations to 16 government-wide outcomes within four spending areas.
Supplementary Estimates are part of the normal parliamentary approval process to ensure that previously planned government initiatives receive the necessary funding to move them forward, therefore meeting the needs of Canadians. They present information to Parliament on the Government of Canada’s spending requirements that were not sufficiently developed in time for inclusion in the Main Estimates, and will from time to time include urgent but unforeseen expenditures, such as natural disasters (an ice storm, H1N1, etc.). Supplementary Estimates directly support an appropriation act. Supplementary Estimates are published throughout the year; each release is identified alphabetically (A, B, C, etc.).
The authorities and expenditures data presented in the GC InfoBase principally correspond to two published reports: the Public Accounts of Canada and tabled expenditure authorities (Main Estimates and the Supplementary Estimates). The figures contained in the following datasets generally match those of those of the official reports. Small differences in the aggregate totals may arise due to rounding. In cases where machinery of government changes (such as creating or merging of organizations, or changes to their responsibilities) have occurred, the GC InfoBase datasets may be adjusted to present a more coherent time series.
