The Advisory Council on the Implementation of National Pharmacare (the Council) led a national consultation on how to implement affordable national pharmacare for Canadians and their families, employers and governments.

This is the preliminary draft of the Open Government consultation plan for the 2020-22 National Action Plan. This document provides an overview of the approach the Open Government team plans to take for their upcoming consultations and includes the objectives, context, challenges, and proposed collaborators. This plan will continue to evolve and will serve as the foundation for how Canada’s 2020-2022 National Action Plan will be developed.

The Government of Canada consulted Canadians on key elements of Canada's national security laws and policies to ensure they are effective at keeping Canadians safe, and equally reflect the rights, values and freedoms of Canadians. This consultation took place from September 8, 2016 to December 15, 2016. In the interests of openness and transparency, Public Safety Canada is making available to the public all responses received online as part of the consultations. This information is being released in two datasets containing all responses received through our online consultation portal and its associated email address between September 8- November 4, 2016, and November 5-December 15, 2016.

During January and early February 2020, the Government of Canada launched consultations on medical assistance in dying (MAID). The online consultation, which was a short questionnaire, was open to all members of the public from the morning of Monday, January 13th through to midnight on Monday, January 27th. Consultations with experts and stakeholders also took place via a series of ten roundtables held across the country between Monday, January 13th and Monday, February 3rd.

This Report was prepared by the Consultation Panel on the Political Activities of Charities ("the Panel"), appointed by the Minister of National Revenue in September 2016. The Report presents the Panel’s recommendations, which are designed to clarify and broaden the ability of registered charities to engage in political activities in support of their charitable purposes, while maintaining an absolute prohibition on partisan political activities.
