The data represents the annual total precipitation in Alberta over the 30-year period from 1971 to 2000. A 30-year period is used to describe the present climate since it is enough time to filter our short-term fluctuations but is not dominated by any long-term trend in the climate. Annual total precipitation refers to rain, snow and other forms of moisture such as hail. Annual precipitation is greatest in the mountains and decreases at lower elevations.
The Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory was initiated in 1949 and completed by 1956. The Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory included all publicly owned forested lands in the province except Indian lands, national parks, and an area known as the Rocky Mountains Forest Reserve. The Phase 1 (Broad Scale) Forest Inventory was used to define lands suitable for agriculture, to determine timber harvest levels and plan forest protection and timber and industrial development. Through aerial photo interpretation, land was classified as productive, potentially productive, or non-productive.
"The 2018 survey asks Canadians questions about awareness, knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours related to Sexually Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections (STBBI). To some extent, the survey builds on previous surveys commissioned by the Public Health Agency of Canada in 2003, 2006, and 2012, although most of the current survey has been redesigned to align with current program objectives. Evidence gathered through this survey is intended to enhance the capacity of all players to contribute to reduce the health impact of STBBI in Canada by 2030. The survey size of 2,452 cases was sampled nationally from all provinces and territories.
