As part of the climate change research, data from the SPOT/VEGETATION instrument are systematically corrected for period 1998-2004 and provided in this archive. The VGT archive contains observations acquired by the VEGETATION sensors 1 and 2 onboard SPOT 4 and 5 satellites. Initial data type 10-day S10 composites provided by the Centre National d'Etudes Spatiales (CNES) and pre-processed at the Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) in Belgium in full resolution (1km) were re-projected into standard Lambert conformal conic map projection and further corrected for bi-directional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF) effect and cloud contamination. Growing seasons 1998-2004 are presented with twenty 10-day composites from April 11, to October 31.
This dataset covers the status of carnivores. It is known that some carnivores, such as the American marten (Martes americana), fisher (Pekania pennanti) and Canada lynx (Lynx canadensis), are affected by forest habitat fragmentation and human presence. In addition, the American marten and fisher are often considered good indicators of forest ecosystem integrity. The Canada lynx is one of the biodiversity targets of the Northern Appalachian/Acadian conservation plan and the Forillon ecological corridor conservation plan.
Contained within the 3rd Edition (1957) of the Atlas of Canada is a map that shows three condensed maps of Canadian railway traffic circa 1954. Net tons per mile of road operated are indicated. 'Net tons per mile of road operated' is to be understood as meaning that, in 1954, the total net freight passing any point on a given line was of the tonnage indicated by the flow line at that point. In a few areas on the maps, traffic carried by lines closely paralleling each other and providing duplicate service between the same points is indicated by one pair of flow lines only.
All available bathymetry and related information for Johnnys Lake were collected and hard copy maps digitized where necessary. The data were validated against more recent data (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission 'SRTM' imagery and Indian Remote Sensing 'IRS' imagery) and corrected where necessary. The published data set contains the lake bathymetry formatted as an Arc ascii grid. Bathymetric contours and the boundary polygon are available as shapefiles.
This table contains 15 series, with data for years 1999 - 2009 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and was last released on 2014-06-19. This table contains data described by the following dimensions (Not all combinations are available): Geography (1 item: Canada excluding Territories), Type of vehicle (5 items: Total, all vehicles; Vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes; Trucks 4.5 tonnes to 14.9 tonnes; Trucks 15 tonnes and over; ...), Carrying dangerous goods (3 items: Total with or without dangerous goods; With dangerous goods; Without dangerous goods).
Between 2001 and 2006, total employment in Canada increased at an annual average rate of 1.7%, the fastest rate increase among the Group of Seven (G7) nations. Italy's growth rate of 1.2% was second followed by France and the United States of America. Employment rose in every part of the country. Over the five years, the 1.7% annual average national employment growth rate was surpassed only in Alberta (2.9%) and British Columbia (2.1%) and the three territories.
