The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 7 of the Atlas, Paleographic Evolution of the Cratonic Platform - Cambrian to Triassic, Figure 10, Carboniferous Banff/Lodgepole (DM5) Paleogeography. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure.
This table contains 299 series, with data for years 1956 - 1990 (not all combinations necessarily have data for all years), and was last released on 2000-02-18. This table contains data described by the following dimensions (Not all combinations are available): Geography (5 items: Canada; Atlantic Region; Ontario; Quebec ...), Commodities (295 items: Chemical; chemical products; Chlorine; Inorganic industrial chemicals; Industrial chemicals ...).
An archive of 2D regional seismic and long period magnetotelluric data collected during 20 years of work under the LITHOPROBE project. Data are primarily onshore and cover widespread regions of Canada. Available data types include raw digital data, processed sections, and images of final sections, as well as auxiliary information required for analysis of the data.
This table is part of a series of tables that present a portrait of Canada based on the various census topics. The tables range in complexity and levels of geography. Content varies from a simple overview of the country to complex cross-tabulations; the tables may also cover several censuses.

This program monitors the extent of three shoreline (dune) plants that are either endangered (Pink Sand-verbena (Abronia umbellata)), threatened (Silky Beach Pea (Lathyrus littoralis), also known as dune sweet-pea, and grey beach peavine), or the obligate habitat of an endangered species (Yellow Sand-verbena (Abronia latifolia), habitat for Sand-verbena moth (Copablepharon fuscum)). The survey is done annually at the end of August/beginning of September and involves a complete census of the Wickaninnish dunes and foredune down to high water mark using an RTK GPS (2.5cm 2DRMS 95%) system. To adjust for surveyor bias (choice of patch boundary and estimates of patch dimensions) and seasonal variations, polygons have been resampled to a 5m square grid and the metric is the sum of the occupied grid cells (area of occupancy). Where practicable the number of individuals has been recorded.
